Community Foundation Tampa Bay adds to its Board of Trustees

Local leaders elected to Board bring passion for philanthropy and nonprofit experience

TAMPA, Fla. (Nov. 25, 2024) – The Community Foundation Tampa Bay is pleased to announce the addition of Joshua Bomstein and Gregory C. Yadley to its Board of Trustees. The Community Foundation Tampa Bay is a leading grant maker and is building a more vibrant, prosperous community by connecting donors with impactful causes.

“We’re grateful to have such distinguished professionals dedicate their time to volunteer on our Board of Trustees,” said Marlene Spalten, president and CEO of Community Foundation Tampa Bay. “Joshua and Gregory’s professional experience and personal interests will position them as valuable advocates of philanthropy as we help our community thrive.”

Joshua Bomstein is the president of Creative Contractors Inc., Tampa Bay’s largest locally headquartered commercial contractor. Bomstein is the second-generation of leadership at the company.

As a result of his professional success, he was selected to participate in Leadership Tampa and is involved with the U.S. Green Building Council Florida Gulf Coast Chapter. As an active member of the Tampa Bay community, Bomstein was initially introduced to the Community Foundation Tampa Bay through other nonprofits he has supported. His nonprofit experience and generous professional network will significantly contribute to the Community Foundation’s mission to connect people, ideas and resources. Bomstein also serves on the board of the Greater Tampa Chamber of Commerce, Florida Holocaust Museum and Florida Wildlife Corridor Foundation, among others.

Gregory C. Yadley is partner at Shumaker, Loop & Kendrick, LLP, a national provider of legal and legislative services and will join the Board in January 2025. Yadley holds more than 40+ years of law experience and has represented large and small businesses in addition to nonprofits. He is consistently recognized as a top attorney and was previously named one of the Best Lawyers in America.

In addition to receiving numerous accolades, he is a long-term member of Community Foundation Tampa Bay’s Council of Professional Advisors. This experience will help Yadley support the Foundation as they match donors with critical nonprofit needs that align with their interests. Throughout the local community Yadley is significantly involved in the arts and has served on multiple boards, such as Visit Tampa Bay, The Florida Orchestra, James Museum of Western and Wildlife Art and more. He is also passionate about attorney professionalism and is active in the local legal community.

Bomstein and Yadley will join existing Board of Trustees members including: Chair, Oscar Horton, CEO of Sun State International, Chair Elect, Linda O. Simmons, President of R.R. Simmons, Treasurer, Susan Touchton, volunteer community leader and Secretary, Andy Hafer, co-founder of Synapse and DCE Productions, among others.
