Crisp, Mild Weekend on the Way

Sunshine is in the forecast most of the weekend, but storms are on the horizon as the workweek begins.

As much of the nation faces down an arctic blast, the Tampa Bay area has sunshine and mild weather in the forecast.

According to the National Weather Service, the weekend kicks off with a high around 70 Friday and a low around 50. Mostly clear conditions are anticipated throughout the weekend.

Temperatures warm up a bit going into Saturday when the high is expected to reach the mid-70s. The overnight low should be in the upper 50s. Sunday’s high is anticipated to break the 80 mark with a low around 65.

Conditions begin to change in the early part of the workweek with a 40 percent chance of storms in the forecast for Monday as a cold front moves through. Tuesday is also shaping up to have a good potential for storms.
