TAMPA, FL — National nonprofit Operation Gratitude is joining forces with volunteers from CSX, a leading supplier of rail-based freight transportation in North America, to deliver Care Packages to deployed service members.

Together, they will host a Pride in Service Assembly Day on Saturday, June 18 where they will put together 5,000 Care Packages at the headquarters of Quality Carriers, a CSX subsidiary, in Tampa, 1208 E Kennedy Blvd., Suite 132. CSX acquired Quality Carriers, the leading North American provider of bulk liquid chemicals truck transportation, in July 2021.

The event is part of CSX’s Pride in Service community investment initiative, an ongoing mission to thank military members for their service. The event will recognize the longstanding military tradition, Christmas in July, an annual celebration in many military communities taking place as a way for families to support service members who are deployed during the traditional holiday period.

The Care Packages will be filled with snacks, games, supplies, and, most importantly, handwritten letters from grateful Americans across the country. These items will provide service members with a much-needed sense of comfort and remind them that civilians back home appreciate their sacrifices.

Assembly days are a big part of Operation Gratitude’s overarching mission to express deep appreciation for those who step forward to serve and sacrifice on behalf of the American people.
