Off-Duty Officer Charged With DUI In Pasco: Tampa Police
An off-duty Tampa police officer was arrested for driving under the influence in New Port Richey, officials said.
TAMPA, FL — An off-duty Tampa police officer was arrested and charged with driving under the influence Friday evening in Pasco County, officials said.
Corporal Jesse Horn was arrested at 6:30 p.m. during a traffic stop on U.S. 19 near Glissade in New Port Richey, according to a Tampa Police Department news release. He was the only person in the vehicle.
“This incident is deeply disappointing to me, our department, and our community,” Tampa police Chief Lee Bercaw said. “Our officers are entrusted with upholding the law and protecting our community. Every employee is expected to hold themselves to the highest standards, both on and off duty.”

Hired in 2007, Horn was immediately relieved of duty pending the outcome of the criminal investigation.
The Tampa Police Department will also conduct an internal investigation.
