Floyd’s 99 Barbershop of South Tampa today announced plans for their grand opening event to be held on Friday, April 10, 2026, beginning at 9:00 a.m. The day-long celebration will include a ribbon-cutting ceremony, an in-shop scavenger hunt, prizes, and more. The shop, located at 1155 S. Dale Mabry Highway, Unit 6, in South Tampa, is owned and operated by franchisee Stephanie Noyes, a lifelong member of the Tampa Bay community. “Floyd’s is all about giving our customers an amplified experience, and we can’t wait to create that excitement at our grand opening event,” said Stephanie, noting that this is her third Floyd’s location, with shops already open in Clearwater and St. Pete. “This is an opportunity for the community to celebrate with us, meet the stylists, and even get a haircut,” she said. “Floyd’s is for everyone – men, women, and kids – and we’ll be accepting walk-in appointments all day.” The South Tampa location is offering 50% off haircuts for the first 30 days, beginning on Friday. Tampa Bay area residents without lunchtime plans are invited to put on their favorite Tampa Bay Lightning gear to Eat at Joe's on Oct. 14.The regular lunchtime event in downtown Tampa is designed to get folks to come out of their office buildings to enjoy live music and other entertainment. October's installment is planned to double as a Lightning Pep Rally as regular season play begins again for the Eastern Conference champs. With that in mind, attendees can anticipate lots of hockey-related fun. Set to take place from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Joe Chillura Courthouse Square on the corner of Pierce and Kennedy, the event will feature music, food and some big-name guests. The Bolt Brigade, the Lightning Girls and ThunderBug are also expected to attend. The Rolling Thunder Truck will also be onsite with giveaways.Attendees are invited to bring their own lunches to the event, or they can check out food trucks or area restaurants.Eat at Joe's is a partnership between Hillsborough County, the City of Tampa, the Tampa Downtown Partnership and the Arts Council of Hillsborough County.Photo from the city of Tampa Facebook page
