The studio, looking to meet the growing demand across Tampa Bay, was drawn to Water Street’s walkable neighborhood, which matches the lifestyle and community that its members value, the news release said.

“Since entering the Tampa Bay market, we’ve seen incredible enthusiasm for the [solidcore] experience and a growing demand for additional studio locations,” Josh Rainey, senior director of real estate and growth for [solidcore], said. “Water Street Tampa was a natural choice for our next expansion. Its energy, walkability and active lifestyle setting made it an ideal fit for our members. We’re excited to bring our signature workout to this vibrant neighborhood and continue making [solidcore] more accessible to the Tampa community.”

Founded in 2013, [solidcore] offers a high-intensity, low-impact workout performed on a custom-built reformer.

The workout is designed to strengthen the core, upper body and lower body through slow, controlled movements that challenge muscles to failure and build strength over time, the company said.

The brand operates more than 175 studios nationwide.

For Water Street Tampa, the addition fits into the district's broader wellness and mixed-use focus.

“As Water Street Tampa continues to grow, we're focused on bringing in the kinds of amenities and experiences that residents, office tenants and visitors want most,” Josh Taube, chief executive officer of SPP, said. “[Solidcore] brings a highly sought-after fitness offering to the neighborhood and complements the strong foundation of health and wellness that has helped guide our community from the start.”

[Solidcore] already operates two other Tampa Bay studios in Hyde Park and St. Petersburg.
