Flood Advisory Issued for Hillsborough, Pinellas (Expired)

Heavy rain is once again moving through the area.

The National Weather Service has issued a flood advisory for Hillsborough and Pinellas counties as heavy storms make their way through the area.

The advisory remains in effect until 5:15 p.m. Saturday and covers such communities as St. Petersburg, Tampa, Temple Terrace, Clearwater and Largo. A flood advisory is also in effect for Pasco County until 3:30 p.m.

Motorists are urged to use caution on local roads. Rain is expected to continue into Sunday with storms also possible on Monday.

The city of Tampa has also advised that a number of roadways there are closed due to flooding. They include:

  • Bayshore Blvd. / Rome Avenue (Both North and South Lanes Closed)
  • Bayshore Blvd. Platt. Street (Both North and South Lanes Closed)
  • Dale Mabry / Azeele (Both North and South Lanes Closed)
  • Dale Mabry / Henderson (Both North and South Lanes Closed)
