Florida's Top 15 Hospitals: Who Made the List

What Florida hospitals are considered the best of the best?

U.S. News and World Report recently dove into data related to nearly 5,000 hospitals across the country and results from surveys of more than 140,000 physicians to rank the best facilities in 16 adult specialties from cancer to urology, according to the publication.

Patient safety, death rates and facility reputations were just a few of factors considered. On the national level, only 137 hospitals ranked in a specialty.

The results were also broken down into lists of top hospitals by state. Some notable Tampa Bay area omissions on Florida’s Top 15 list include Florida Hospital Tampa, Bayfront Medical Center and St. Joseph’s, among others.
