Halfacre Construction Company begins work for Hillsborough County Public Schools
Halfacre Construction Company recently began work for the Hillsborough County School Board under its Continuing Contract Agreement.
Halfacre Construction Company (HalfacreConstruction.com), the area’s oldest, most established, locally owned and operated private commercial construction company, recently began work for the Hillsborough County School Board under its Continuing Contract Agreement.
The $1.7-million project, with a projected November 2015 completion date, includes constructing new headquarters for the Hillsborough County Public Schools’ Transportation department. Halfacre Construction Company will also complete the site work and utilities for the over 9,000-square-foot building.
To date, Halfacre Construction Company has completed over 200 projects with Hillsborough County Schools over the past eight years. Halfacre Construction Company has received the award of distinction for supplier diversity from the Hillsborough County Public Schools Office for hiring and promoting local, small-and minority-owned businesses in the Tampa Bay area. The company has received this award every year since 2008.

Located at 9455 Harney Road, 995 yellow school buses comprise the transportation fleet at the Transportation department of the Hillsborough County Public Schools, which addresses the needs of Hillsborough County Public School students by dividing the county in eight distinct geographic areas.
Halfacre Construction Company has completed work on schools including Riverview Elementary School, Trapnell Elementary School, North Tampa Alternative School, Chamberlain High School, Lopez Elementary School, Lopez Exceptional Student Education Center, Burns Middle School, Tinker Elementary School, Leto High School, West Shore Elementary School and Westchase Elementary School.
