Halfacre Construction Company begins work on Tinker Elementary School

Halfacre Construction Company (www.halfacreconstruction.com), the area’s oldest, most established, locally owned and operated private commercial construction company, recently began work on Tinker Elementary School’s modular project under the company’s Continuing Contract Agreement with the Hillsborough County School Board.

With a projected August 2015 completion date, the project includes constructing a new addition to the school, which will be used for additional classrooms and science labs. The six new modular classrooms and associated facilities are required for the conversion of Tinker Elementary School into a kindergarten through eighth grade facility.

“With our extensive experience in constructing schools, Halfacre Construction Company is proud and pleased to help provide these much-needed facilities for the expanding school, including three classrooms, a testing lab and two science lab with support spaces, and its seventh and eighth grade students,” said Tom Rees, a project manager for Halfacre Construction Company who is overseeing this project.

Halfacre Construction Company has completed work on schools including Riverview Elementary School, Trapnell Elementary School, North Tampa Alternative School, Chamberlain High School, Lopez Elementary School, Lopez Exceptional Student Education Center, Burns Middle School, Leto High School, West Shore Elementary School and Westchase Elementary School.

Located at 8207 Tinker Street on MacDill Air Force Base in Tampa, the school will remain functional and operational during construction of the new addition.
