Help Sought Locating Registered Sex Offender In Tampa Bay Area

Anyone who knows the whereabouts of Leroy Jones III is asked to call CrimeStoppers. Reward is possible.

TAMPA, FL – Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office on Wednesday requested the public's assistance in locating a missing 29-year-old registered sex offender, who reportedly neglected to informed officials that he moved.

Leroy Jones III now has an outstanding arrest warrant for failure to update his residential address within 48 hours of change, the agency said.

With his last address listed in Tampa, Jones is described as a black male with black hair and brown eyes, 5 feet 7 inches tall and 160 pounds, according to the Florida Department of Law Enforcement. His prior conviction was for lewd or lascivious battery; sex with victim 12 to 15, and his release from jail was subject to registration, the department's records said. View Jones' flyer here.
