Hillsborough Community College Announces Scholarships For 10 Nurses
The $10,000 gift from Gale Healthcare Solutions will provide scholarships to students in the newly approved bachelor's of nursing program.
HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, FL — The Hillsborough Community College Foundation announced the first corporate gift in support of the new bachelor of science in nursing program at HCC.
The $5,000 donation from Gale Healthcare Solutions, which will be matched by the Gregory Foundation for a total of $10,000, will provide scholarships to 10 students who will be part of the inaugural class starting this fall.
“On behalf of the Hillsborough Community College Foundation, I’d like to thank Gale Healthcare Solutions for helping us get this important new nursing education program off the ground,” said foundation Executive Director Stephen Shear. “As an organization that shares our strong commitment to nursing education, we greatly appreciate their support and partnership.”

The 10 nursing students will receive $1,000 each to help with tuition, books and other expenses as they begin their BSN completion program.
“Gale Healthcare Solutions is committed to finding solutions that address the national nursing shortage, and that includes supporting nursing education,” said Tony Braswell, Gale president and founder. “We congratulate Hillsborough Community College on the launch of this new nursing program and look forward to helping these first students as they pursue their nursing careers.”
