Hult Prize at The University of Tampa
Hult Prize, the world's largest student competition is going to be held in Tampa this December.

Tampa, FL. Caio Amaral our campus director recently announced that The University of Tampa has been selected to host a local edition of the Hult Prize, the world’s largest student competition. This years challenge was proposed by Bill Clinton Global Initiative, who partnered with Hult Prize CEO Ahmad Ashkar asking students around the world to build a sustainable, scalable, and fast-growing social enterprise that doubles the income of 10 million people residing in crowded urban slums. The annual Hult Prize awards one million dollars in start-up funding to a team of students that develops the most radical and breakthrough idea to solve one of our world’s toughest social challenges.
Caio Amaral and his executive team, will be leading the Hult Prize at The University of Tampa, and is confident in his fellow classmates’ chance to go all the way and win this year’s Hult Prize. “I believe in the diverse culture of our university. It’s all about the execution of a simple idea that will impact millions of lives.”
The winner of the Hult Prize At event will automatically advance to compete in one of five regional finals happening across the world in Boston, San Francisco, London, Dubai and Shanghai. One winning team from each host city will then move onto a summer business accelerator program, where participants will receive mentorship, advisory and strategic planning as they create prototypes and set-up to launch their new social business. The Clinton Global Initiative will host the final round of competition in September, where delegates will select a winning team to be awarded the $1,000,000 prize by President Clinton himself. In the words of Clinton, “the Hult Prize is a wonderful example of the creative cooperation needed to build a world with shared opportunity, shared responsibility, and shared prosperity, and each year I look forward to seeing the many outstanding ideas the competition produces.” Hult Prize at The University of Tampa is now recruiting undergraduate, MBA, EMBA, and Ph.D. students who are interested to form a team and register for the competition.
