Sesame Street Halloween Festival At Busch Gardens Just Right For Younger Children

Busch Gardens Tampa's​ kid-friendly Halloween festival with Sesame Street characters kicks off Oct. 2.

TAMPA, FL — Busch Gardens Tampa's kid-friendly Halloween festival featuring the always-loveable Sesame Street characters kicks off Oct. 2 with an expanded trick-or-treat candy trail.

Taking place each Saturday and Sunday in October, the Sesame Street Safari of Fun includes a limited-time Sesame Street Halloween Show, character meet-and-greets, Halloween dance parties and the return of Elmo's Treehouse Trek.

Trick Or Treat Candy Trail

Children can dress up in their Halloween costumes to enjoy traditional trick-or-treating with a friendly candy crew sharing sweet treats at 10 locations along the expanded candy trail, from the Sesame Street Safari of Fun area and along the Bird Gardens pathway.

Not-Too-Spooky Howl-O-Ween Radio Show

The Not-Too-Spooky Howl-O-Ween Radio Show is back with Count von Count serving as the master of "scareemonies," leading his pals through some of his favorite tunes. With help from Abby Cadabby, Cookie Monster, Zoe, Grover, Oscar and Elmo, The Count produces a not-too-spooky Halloween show featuring song and dance numbers.

Interactive Character Strolls

Kids can meet their favorite furry friends, including Elmo, Abby Cadabby, Cookie Monster, Grover, Rosita and more, who will be dressed in their best Halloween costumes throughout the Sesame Street Safari of Fun for one-of-a-kind photo opportunities.

Halloween Dance Parties

Kids can show off your best dance moves in the Sesame Street Pavilion at the Halloween dance parties hosted by Sesame Street friends throughout the day. Click here for the schedule.

Kids can join their Sesame Street pals at the Sunny Day Theater for a special Halloween story time. Click here for times.

Kids are invited to come in costume.

Show Off Your Costumes

Children 13 and younger are welcome to dress up in costumes. All costumes are subject to normal dress code for the park. Face painting is not permitted on any guests unless it is done by park artists.

Pin Trading

Pin trading has returned to Busch Gardens. At select times during Sesame Street Kids' Weekends, guests will be able to visit 1-2-3 Smile with Me to trade exclusive pins, including collections featuring their favorite Sesame Street friends.

Reusable Bags

Busch Gardens will have an assortment of reusable bags available for purchase at Sesame Street Safari of Fun and gift shops throughout the park. A Busch Gardens trick-or-treat bag is required for the candy trail.
