The Hillsborough County Sheriffâs Office is looking for help identifying three people it says were involved in a shooting Thursday evening.
The incident unfolded around 5:23 p.m. when two men and a woman went into the Snax Food Store, 5002 E. Sligh Ave. Deputies say one of the men was trying to buy a drink when it fell to the floor. That man, an email to media from the sheriffâs office said, became upset and started arguing with the storeâs clerk.
As the two argued, deputies say the man pulled out a silver handgun and pointed it at the clerk. The three then left and the clerk locked the door.

Moments later, however, the man walked back up to the store, kicked the glass door and caused it to shatter, deputies said. He and the other two people with him then got into a 2003 green Nissan Altima and started backing out of the parking lot onto 50th Street North.
Someone in the car fired a single shot, the email said, striking a man standing at the nearby bus stop in the leg. The victim has been identified as Jason Aust, 35.
