Metro Development Group Hires New VP Of Marketing And Communications
Lisa Gibbings will drive marketing strategy for multiple Metro brands and more than 30 Florida communities.

TAMPA, FL — Lisa Gibbings, a marketing professional with proven success running highly successful marketing programs for companies in the Tampa Bay region, has joined Metro Development Group as the Vice President of Marketing and Communications. Gibbings will lead marketing and communications strategy and execution for more than 30 existing and upcoming Metro master planned communities in Florida, as well as for Metro’s four subsidiary brands: MetroPlaces, Lagoons, ULTRAFi and StreetLeaf.
Metro Development Group, a Florida-based master-planned community developer, has been actively selling master planned communities in Pasco, Hillsborough, Manatee, Polk, Brevard and Lee counties for over 20 years. Through its subsidiary companies and strategic partnerships with homebuilders, Metro delivers thoughtfully planned communities that center around best-in-class amenities and innovation to home buyers. Metro’s subsidiary companies manage community planning and development, including the development of its world-famous lagoon amenity along with the day-to-day operation of its many communities.
Metro Development Group has demonstrated a strong record of new home sales in Florida. At age 38, Gibbings has had experiences across a wide range of industries in the field of marketing. In her previous role as Vice President of Marketing at AAMP, she established a digital presence that extended the brand into new sales channels thus diversifying revenue streams even during a difficult period such as COVID. She did this while building out a strong internal marketing team and foundation for the organization.

Previous to that, Gibbings held an executive position at Valpak, where she rose to the position of Vice President of Marketing and Communications. In this role, she managed a 25-person in-house operation that led both the business-to-business and business-to-consumer marketing efforts for the full range of Valpak’s brands. She transformed the business model from a traditional direct mail company to a full marketing agency, offering its clients both print and digital services.
“What excites me most coming into this role are the opportunities it presents,” Gibbings said. “Metro continues to provide a unique selling point in its industry, and I am thrilled to be a part of shaping and sharing its story across multiple platforms. I plan on building a solid marketing foundation and then using my expertise in digital and performance-based marketing to successfully support the company’s upcoming rapid growth.”
This year Metro Development Group opened the largest human-made lagoon in the country at its Mirada community in Pasco County and announced plans for the first residential farm amenity in Florida at its developing city of Angeline in Pasco County. The company has also begun development work for new communities in Osceola and Duval counties.
