Mostly Sunny, Warm Weekend on the Way

Rain and patchy fog aren't entirely out of Tampa Bay's forecast.

With highs in the 80s and low chances for rain, the Tampa Bay area is in for a relatively mild weekend ahead.

The National Weather Service is calling for a party sunny day Friday with a high around 80 degrees. Rain does creep into the overnight forecast with a 20 percent chance set Friday morning. The overnight low should only drop to the upper 60s in most parts of the Bay.

Saturday kicks off with patchy fog, which is expected to burn off as high temperatures climb into the low 80s. A partly cloudy Saturday night will bring lows in the upper 60s.

Sunday is anticipated to be a day of change with a slight chance of storms both during the daytime and evening hours. The day’s high around 80 is not expected to repeat itself when the workweek kicks off Monday with a high only around 72 expected by forecasters as of Friday morning.
