Motorcycle Trooper Jumps To Safety To Avoid Out-Of Control Car
A Florida Highway Patrol motorcycle trooper narrowly escaped serious injury after a car lost control and veered toward him.
TAMPA, FL — A Florida Highway Patrol motorcycle trooper narrowly escaped serious injury after a car lost control and veered toward him.
On Thursday shortly after 2 p.m. the trooper was parked along the shoulder of westbound Interstate 4 under the U.S. 301 overpass conducting traffic enforcement when he spotted a westbound car. The car had a separated wheel and the driver lost control, heading directly toward the trooper.
To avoid being struck, the trooper leaped over the adjacent barrier wall, receiving a minor injury in the process. The car struck his parked motorcycle.
