Domestic Violence Call In Tampa Uncovers Cache Of Weapons, Drugs; Felon Faces Over 30 Charges (tampafp.com) — Tampa residents should know that deputies responding to a domestic violence call on North 44th Street uncovered nine firearms and a large stash of narcotics, leading to more than 30 charges against an 11-time convicted felon. Hillsborough County Sheriff Chad Chronister praised detectives for turning a dangerous disturbance into the dismantling of a significant local threat, with the investigation still ongoing.

Tampa Bay area water restrictions extended through March 2027 (fox13news.com) — Tampa Bay–area residents, including those in Tampa, will face strict once-a-week lawn watering limits through at least March 31, 2027, as the regional water shortage order is extended. The Southwest Florida Water Management District cites ongoing drought and a half-full C.W. Bill Young Reservoir, and outlines specific watering days and hours by address to help conserve supplies.

Tampa City Councilman Luis Viera leaves city hall in November—and he has to take all the stuff in his office with him (cltampa.com) — Tampa residents will soon see longtime District 7 councilman Luis Viera leave City Hall on Nov. 2 as he pursues a run for the state House.
