New Classes Offered at the Ybor Art Studio

From sewing to printmaking, Ybor Art Studio offers new classes for kids and adults this month.

From City of Tampa Online:

Fall in love this February with these new classes at the City of Tampa’s Ybor Art Studio, located in the heart of the historic district at 1800 E. 8th Ave. 

PRINTMAKING – This class will introduce students to printmaking processes such as screen-printing, block-printing and alternative photography.

Mondays: 6 p.m. – 9 p.m.
Ages: Adults.
Cost: $10/week. 

Wednesdays: 4 p.m. – 5:15 p.m.
Ages: 13-17 years.
Cost: $6/week.

MIXED MEDIA ART CLASS – This class provides a broad range of art projects in mediums of sculpture, drawing, painting, photography, printmaking, and clay. Both traditional and non-traditional approaches are taught and ordinary objects are transformed into creative works of art. 

Tuesdays: 4 p.m. – 5:15 p.m.
Ages: 8-12 years.
Cost: $5/week.

BEGINNING SEWING – This class introduces beginners to the basics of sewing. Projects include pajama pants/shorts, tote bags pencil bags, reusable lunch bags and many more. 

Mondays: 4 p.m. – 5:15 p.m.
Ages: 9-16 years.
Cost: $5/week.
