New Year's Interstate Travel Information
Find out what to expect as a number of construction projects continue in the region.

TAMPA, FL — Tampa Bay area residents who plan to hit the road for the New Year’s holiday should find fairly smooth sailing on the region’s interstate systems.
The Florida Department of Transportation has announced that all closures in the Hillsborough, Pasco, Pinellas and Hernando county areas are suspended from Thursday morning through Sunday afternoon, Jan. 3, 2016.
Once the holiday weekend passes, motorists can expect lane closings in the following areas:

Interstate 275 between 54th Avenue South and 26th Avenue South
Two lanes may be closed on northbound I-275 in St. Petersburg from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. Jan. 3-8.

22nd Avenue North at I-275
St. Petersburg motorists will want to watch out for possible lane reductions on 22nd Avenue North in the I-275 area between 11 p.m. and 6:30 a.m. Jan. 4-7.
I-275 from State Road 60 to the Hillsborough River
This Tampa closing may involve one to two lanes being shut down in each direction of I-275 from Memorial Highway to Ashley Drive from 10 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. Jan. 3-7.
Northbound I-275 exit to Dale Mabry Highway
The exit may be closed down from 11:30 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. Jan. 3-7.
Dale Mabry Entrance Ramp to Northbound I-275
This may be closed from 11:30 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. Jan. 3-7.
Lois Avenue at I-275
One of two lanes may close in each direction from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Jan. 4-8.
Dale Mabry Highway at I-275
One to two lanes may close in each direction at the interstate from 8 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. Jan. 3-7.
Howard and Armenia Avenues at I-275
Around-the-clock closings of one to two lanes on both streets are expected in this area through January.
Green Street between Howard and Himes
Motorists can expect lane closures here through January. Traffic patterns may also change daily depending on construction needs.
Northbound I-75 Between Fowler and State Road 56
One lane may close down northbound in various locations on this stretch from 11 p.m. to 6 a.m. Jan. 3-8.
Southbound I-75 between State Road 56 and Fletcher
One to three lanes may close in various locations from 9:30 p.m. to 5 a.m. Jan. 3-8.
Southbound I-75 exit to Bruce B. Downs
The exit ramp may be closed from 10:30 p.m. to 5 a.m. Jan. 3-8.
Northbound I-75 exit to Bruce B. Downs
One to two lanes may be closed on the exit ramp between 10:30 p.m. and 5 a.m. Jan. 3-8.
I-75 from County Road 54 to State Road 52
One lane may close in each direction between 9 p.m. and 6 a.m. Jan. 3-8
State Road 52 in the I-75 Area
Motorists can expect some lane closings between State Road 52 and Old Pasco Road and McKendree Road between 9 p.m. and 6 a.m. Jan. 3-8. Flaggers will be out directing traffic.
I-75 to the Hernando County Line
Motorists can expect one lane to close in each direction from north of State Road 52 to the Hernando County line from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. Jan. 4-9.
I-75 in Hernando County
One lane may close in each direction of I-75 from the Pasco County line to about 2 miles south of State Road 50 between 9 p.m. and 6 a.m. Jan. 3-6.
