New Year's Week Weather: Cooler Conditions Coming

A slight break is on the way to Tampa Bay, but heat isn't out of the picture just yet.

Tampa Bay area residents gearing up for New Year’s celebrations might want to keep their shorts handy for the next few days or so.

Monday kicks the week off with a high in the low 80s anticipated and partly sunny conditions. The overnight low will fall to about 71 degrees with mostly cloudy skies. Tuesday is a near repeat of Monday with some patchy fog added into the mix in the overnight hours.
