Open Containers on Riverwalk: Good Idea?
The city of Tampa is working on an ordinance that would make it so.

Patrons of Tampa Riverwalk’s bars and restaurants may soon be able to tote their alcoholic beverage purchases with them as they take in the sights along the Hillsborough River.
The city is working on an ordinance that would make it legal for patrons to carry specially branded Riverwalk cups containing beer, wine and cocktails along the walk, The Tampa Tribune reported.
The ordinance will just cover the Riverwalk area itself – from the Tampa Bay History Center to Water Works Park. Patrons won’t be able to take their beverages into the city’s parks.
