Patel Conservatory presents On The Edge: DIVOS

TAMPA, FL — "On The Edge: DIVOS" will be performed at the Straz Center by award-winning dancers from the Patel Conservatory Popular Dance Program and artists from Next Generation Ballet (NGB) on Saturday, March 25 at 7 p.m. in Ferguson Hall.

These young performers will dance to music from the greatest male pop stars of all time. "On The Edge: DIVOS" will offer something from the contemporary dance world for everyone.

Directed by NGB Artistic Director Philip Neal, "On The Edge: DIVOS" showcases a variety of works from Lead Choreographer Kelly King, fusing high-energy precision with the fluidity of contemporary dance. Neal danced for New York City Ballet, and King is a former Rockette.

The Patel Conservatory dance department, directed by Neal, consists of four entities that offer instruction for both pre-professional training and enrichment for students from age 3 through adult.

A stepping stone for great dance talent, the Next Generation Ballet is a pre-professional auditioned dance company that prepares serious young dancers for professional employment through instruction, coaching and performance opportunities and is the resident ballet company of the Straz Center.
