Barricaded Man Shoots Self After Killing Another Man
A standoff with Tampa Police Monday ended with a man accused of killing another man dying by a self-inflicted gunshot.

TAMPA, FL — A man who barricaded himself in a Tampa home for hours after killing man and wounding a woman has killed himself.
On Monday morning, Tampa police were called to a home in the 1500 block of 28th Avenue where a man was found shot to death and a woman was taken to the hospital with gunshot wounds.
According to police, on Sunday a woman accepted a ride from a man she was acquainted with who then took her to his home without her permission.

At some point during the night, another man was called to the home and an argument took place. The man accused of holding the woman against her will hit the other man on the head with an object, killing him, according to police.
On Monday morning, the woman was able to get to her cell phone and text family members for help. They subsequently notified police.

Neighbors were evacuated and police attempted to speak with the man inside. At some point, the woman was able to flee to safety.
The man fled out of the back of the house and attempted to evade police by hiding under the home. A robot was deployed to view the crawl space under the home and recorded the man dead by a self-inflicted gunshot wound. The gun was found in his hand.
Inside the home, police discovered the body of the man who had been killed previously.
The woman was taken to a nearby hospital where she is recovering.
