Photos: Tractor Trailer Crash Closes I-4 Lanes

The accident happened early Tuesday afternoon.

A 74-year-old Tampa man suffered minor injuries when he was forced to take evasive action to avoid a collision on Interstate 4 Tuesday afternoon.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, Osman Campos was heading west, just east of 22nd Street, in the center lane when the accident happened. A white Hyundai Sonata, the patrol noted, made an improper lane change from the inside lane to the inside center lane, forcing Campos to take action.

When Campos steered to the right to avoid a crash, troopers say his semi struck the outside concrete barrier wall. The truck ended up blocking all but one lane of westbound I-4.
