“ The Big Lebowski” Screening
This free screening of the “Big Lebowski”takes place Friday, 8 to 10 p.m., on the Civic Green Lawn at Sarasota’s Municipal Auditorium. Part of the Sarasota Film Festival, the event includes a live introduction from star Steve Buscemi.
Dress for Success Tampa Bay Power Walk
This year’s Power Walk, a family-friendly indoor event, takes place Saturday, 7:30 a.m., at Tampa’s Citrus Park Town Center.
Pinellas Pepper Fest
The 17th annual Pinellas Pepper Fest brings a flavor explosion to the England Brothers Bandshell Park in Pinellas Park, Saturday and Sunday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The festival features specialty exhibitors selling fiery sauces, salsas, rubs and more, as well as samples, food trucks, the qualifying event for the Americas Belt Match, and live music.
Venice Shark Tooth Festival
This festival offers food trucks, live music and educational speakers Saturday, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., and Sunday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., at Centennial Park.
Mac N Cheese Competition and Fundraiser
This St. Petersburg event serves as a fundraiser Saturday, noon to 2 p.m., for teens seeking recovery from addictions at Victory High School under the nonprofit Florida Recovery Schools of Tampa Bay. Bring your appetite or bake your best recipe!
Garden Party Under the Stars
This benefit for the Palma Sola Botanical Park Foundation takes place Saturday, 6 to 10 p.m., at the park, 9800 17th Ave. NW in Bradenton. The event features dinner, music, a silent auction and more.
A Night ForHearts Fundraiser
