'Radical Randy' Sexually Molested 2 Kids, Ages 4 And 8, Police Say

HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, FL — A Hillsborough County man known in the community as "Radical Randy" faces multiple charges after authorities said he sexually battered at least two children, one as young as four years old.

Randy Akers, 60, was arrested in Hernando County by a U.S. Marshal's Task Force following an in-depth investigation by the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office, Sheriff Chad Chronister announced Thursday.

Akers was charged with seven counts of sexual battery of a victim under 12, five counts of sexual battery by a family member of custodian and five counts of lewd or lascivious molestation of a victim under 12, authorities said.

According to the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office, Akers sexually battered a child between the ages of four and five years old, as well as another eight-year-old child. According to authorities, the abuse dated back as far as 2002.

Chronister said it's possible Akers molested more children due to his involvement in motorcycle club Baggerz & Tailz. He is also owner of the Battle of the Baggers Bike Shows, authorities said.

"This disgusting man can no longer ruin the lives of young children thanks to the tenacity of our detectives," Chronister said in a release. "My thoughts go out to the innocent children that this vile human hurt, and I hope their healing journey can begin with this man behind bars."
