Rain Chances Rise Just in Time for the Weekend

The Tampa Bay region could see quite a few showers over the coming days.

Forecasters at the National Weather Service’s Ruskin office are predicting a potentially stormy weekend ahead for the Tampa Bay area.

Friday’s mostly sunny conditions with a high around 72 will continue into the evening hours with a mostly cloudy night and a low around 60 in most parts of the Bay. Saturday, however, brings a change in the weather as storm chances rise to about 30 percent in the daytime hours and 50 percent overnight. The high on Saturday should climb to the upper 70s with a low in the upper 60s.

Sunday’s daytime rain chances are set around 40 percent with overnight storms also possible. The high Sunday should reach about 80 with a low around 70.

As of Friday morning, forecasters anticipated the stormy weather to continue into Monday and Tuesday.
