Rain, Warmer Temperatures Dominate Workweek Forecast

Storm chances are present throughout the week in Tampa Bay.

Tampa Bay area residents are in for a potentially soggy week as rain chances are present almost daily.

According to the National Weather Service, the forecast calls for a chance of rain in most parts of the Bay almost daily with Wednesday likely to bring the strongest potential for storms.

Monday kicks off with a 30 percent chance of rain that follows through into the overnight hours. A 20 percent chance for showers is forecast for Tuesday while Wednesday delivers a 50 percent chance in the daytime hours in most parts of the region. Storm chances remain through Friday, but the likelihood does decline after Wednesday.

While storms are possible most days this week, forecasters say the Bay area is in for balmier temperatures with daily highs in the low 80s anticipated. Lows will fall into the upper 60s most evenings.
