Registration Open For Free Back-To-School Health Clinics

HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, FL — Hillsborough County Public Schools and the Back-2-School Coalition of Hillsborough County are joining forces again this year to provide free physicals and immunizations for students in a series of health fairs in July and August. Students who receive medical services will also receive a free backpack while supplies last.

This year’s Back 2 School Health Clinic events will look different due to COVID-19, but will still provide critical services to families. To maintain CDC guidelines and safety protocols, there will be no exhibitors on hand or school supplies distributed.

Additional precautions for health and safety include:

• Limited appointment times to avoid lines
• Required face coverings
• Temperature checks upon arrival
• Limit one parent or guardian per child

The overall goal is to provide a cost-effective way for students to receive immunizations, physicals, vision and hearing screenings. These clinics are focused on uninsured or under-insured families who need to meet medical requirements for their children to attend Hillsborough County public schools.

These supports and resources are key to our families during this time of uncertainty, and I am thankful to our strong community partners who help embrace our learners every day. Our entire county will ultimately benefit from children who are mentally and physically prepared to begin and excel in school, and these important events will aid students with the proper jump start they need for a successful year,” said Hillsborough County Schools Superintendent Addison Davis.

• Lennard High School - Saturday, July 25, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., 2342 Shell Point Road E., Ruskin
• Bowers Whitley Career Center - Saturday, Aug. 1 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., 13609 N 22nd St., Tampa,
• Middleton High School - Saturday, Aug. 8 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., 4801 N. 22nd St., Tampa
• Blake High School - Saturday, Aug 1 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., 1701 North Boulevard, Tampa.
