Robinson High Teacher Arrested For Soliciting Teen

The 29-year-old man was arrested in Marion County Wednesday.

Tampa, FL — A 29-year-old Crystal Beach man faces a number of charges after Hillsborough County Sheriff’s detectives say he attempted to solicit a teenage girl for sex.

Timothy Falls, a teacher at Robinson High School, was brought into custody in Marion County on Wednesday. According to the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office, Falls used his cellphone between June 11 and June 13 to speak with the 17-year-old victim.

“During these conversations, which took place over Facebook and KiK, the defendant and victim participated in numerous sexually explicit conversations,” an email from the sheriff’s office said. “The defendant asked the victim if she wished to meet.”

Falls is also accused of telling the girl he would be home alone weekdays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. during the summer.

The two, the sheriff’s office noted, never met up.

Prior to his arrest, Falls admitted to having the conservations with the girl and leading her to believe they would meet up to have sex, the email said.

Falls was charged with solicitation to commit an unlawful sexual act with a minor 16-24 and use of an electronic device to solicit/entice/lure a minor.

Falls remained in the Marion County Jail Thursday.

Falls is listed as a social studies teacher on the Robinson High School website. The sheriff's office noted he is a teacher with Hillsborough County Schools.
