Rush Announces Tampa Stop on 40th Anniversary Tour

Tampa Bay area Rush fans don’t have to trek out of town to catch the act’s 40th anniversary tour.

Rush and Live Nation announced Friday that Tampa is among the 34 cities included on the band’s R40 LIVE Tour in North America. The Tampa appearance is set for May 24 at the Amalie Arena.

Throughout its four decades, Rush has produced 20 gold and platinum studio albums and is famed for such tunes as “Tom Sawyer,” “Limelight,” and “Time Stand Still.” The band was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2013.

No date for ticket sales for the Tampa show has been announced, but a media release from the arena states it will be “soon.” In the meantime, fans will find exclusive Rush ticket packages available at http://vipnation.com.
