Bay Area Manhunt Underway For Suspect Who Allegedly Shot Dead His Girlfriend, Injured Another

The 28-year-old is deemed armed and dangerous and may be driving a light green Altima with Florida tags 3642UA, officials said.

TAMPA BAY, FL – The hunt is on throughout the Bay Area for the suspected shooter who allegedly killed his 30-year-old girlfriend and wounded another man this morning in Tampa.

An arrest warrant is issued for Antelmo Ontiveros, 28, of Tampa, who is considered armed and dangerous, and may be driving a light green, four-door 2002 Nissan Altima with Florida tags 3642UA, according to the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office.

This morning, Thursday, July 21, at approximately 2 a.m. Ontiveros reportedly shot and killed his girlfriend, Banessa Herrera, and wounded another victim, Christian Picazo-Guzman, as he came to Herrera's aid, on the 1500 block of Wishing Well Way in Tampa. deputies said.

The arrest warrant was obtained for second-degree murder with a firearm and attempted second-degree murder with a firearm, the agency said.
