Tampa Police Make Arrest In Shooting On Busch Boulevard

A man is in critical condition after being shot in the head during a drive-by shooting Wednesday night.

TAMPA, FL -- An 18-year-old Tampa man is behind bars following a drive-by shooting Wednesday night on East Busch Boulevard and North 46th Street in Tampa.

Tampa Police were called to the scene of the shooting at 7:34 p.m. on Feb. 6. Upon arrival, officers found a person with a gunshot wound to the head. They rendered aid until Tampa Fire Rescue arrived. The victim was transported to the hospital in life-threatening condition.

Police have arrested Steven Saviras Williams in connection with the shooting after witnesses at the scene identified him. Police said Williams was acquainted with the person who was shot. He's been charged with discharging a firearm from a vehicle.

Due to Marsy's Law, which protects the identities of victims, the name of the person who was shot is not being released.
