Spring Hill Man Accused Of Drunken Driving In Death Of Dade City Woman
A Spring Hill man has been charged with driving under the influence manslaughter following a crash on Interstate 275 in Tampa Saturday.

TAMPA, FL — A Spring Hill man has been charged with driving under the influence manslaughter following a crash on Interstate 275 in Tampa Saturday.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, at 2:30 a.m., an Acura TLX driven by 26-year-old Samuel Hernandez of Spring Hill man was traveling north on I-275 and overtook a Jeep Wrangler driven by a 41-year-old Dade City man that was heading in the same direction.
Troopers said the Acura struck the rear of the Jeep Wrangler, propelling it into the center median where it struck a cable barrier and overturned. The passenger, a 43-year-old Dade City woman, was thrown out of the Wrangler and died at the scene.

Hernandez was later arrested by troopers and charged with DUI manslaughter after he tested positive for a blood-alcohol level of 0.117 percent. The legal limit in Florida is .08 percent.
