St John Lutheran Boys Basketball vs Ocala Christian

St John Lutheran Boys Varsity Basketball team met Ocala Christian at home for a Friday January 4 tipoff coming out on top with a final score of 64-33. Starters for St. John Lutheran were Calvin Davison, Jemel Facey, Keviontae Brown, Courtlen Greene and Evan Williams. Ja’Harius Rolle had 14 as the game high.

Varsity Boys Head Coach John Bauman was very pleased with the team's performance. It was a good opportunity to continue to improve while allowing all the players to contribute. The team will need to continue to improve with a goal to peak to make a solid run in February.

Coach Bauman wanted to recognize each senior, Class of 2019:
#1 Wyatt Shell: 1st year guy, hard worker, great teammate.
#2 Giovanni Biondi: 2nd year in the program, shifty with a strong handle.
#5 Justin Dietrich: 2nd year in the program, another hard worker, great teammate.
#10 Keviontae Brown: Played as a Freshman, transferred out and returned as a senior.
#23 Dillon Russell: 2nd year in the program and solid shooter who eats up space in the paint.
#24 Evan Williams: Leading shot blocker, 4 year player and 1st four year player I've coached at SJ.
