TAMPA, FL — The Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation announced an emergency suspension of the alcohol license for the Pegasus Lounge and Niteclub, 14811 N. Florida Ave., Tampa, due to violations of the state coronavirus orders.

DBPR Secretary Halsey Beshears suspended the bar's liquor license Aug. 10 after finding that the nightclub was an immediate danger to the public's health, safety and welfare.

According to the DBPR, the nightclub violated Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis' June 26 emergency order on Aug. 8 when it hosted a live concert in which alcohol was served, patrons were standing shoulder to shoulder at the bar and social distancing wasn't enforced.
