SUV Crashes Into South Tampa Business; Driver Arrested

A man accused of intentionally driving his SUV through the front window of a South Tampa business Tuesday morning is now facing charges.

TAMPA, FL — A man accused of intentionally driving his SUV through the front window of a South Tampa business Tuesday morning is now facing charges.

According to the Tampa police, around 8 a.m. Tuesday, officers were called to Thera Face & Body Contouring at 3201 S Dale Mabry Highway to find a blue GMC crashed through the front window of the business.

The driver, Pavel Alex Terentev, 31, was still on the scene with a woman, who said they'd been arguing and physically fighting while driving from St. Petersburg to Tampa Tuesday morning.

According to the woman, Terentev hit her in the face with a closed fist just before she got out of the GMC to unlock and open the business for the day. She said Terentev then positioned the SUV to run into her, according to police.

She was able to jump out of the way and Terentev smashed through the business window.

The business was closed at the time with no one inside. No one was injured from the crash, however, both Terentev and the victim had injuries due to their fight.

Terentev was arrested and charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon for attempting to strike the victim, felony criminal mischief for damage to the building and battery for striking the victim.
