SUV Driver, Passenger Die After U.S. 301 Crash: FL Highway Patrol
The driver of a second SUV was also seriously injured in the Wednesday afternoon crash on U.S. 301, FL Highway Patrol said.
HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, FL — A 76-year-old Lithia woman driving an SUV and her passenger died after a Wednesday afternoon crash on U.S. 301, according to a Florida Highway Patrol news release.
The woman was traveling south on U.S. 301 when she turned left at the intersection of Fairway Meadow Drive into the path of another SUV, which hit her, around 3 p.m.
Both she and her passenger, an 80-year-old Lithia man, were seriously injured and brought to an area hospital, where they later died from their injuries, FHP said.

The second SUV’s driver, a 44-year-old Ruskin woman, was also hospitalized with serious injuries.
