Tampa Area Drivers Ranked Among the Worst in the Nation
St. Petersburg fared a little better in the annual report produced by Allstate Insurance.

Allstate’s “America’s Best Drivers Report” for 2014 is out and it seems motorists in the Tampa Bay area aren’t known for their safety prowess behind the wheel.
On the list that includes the country’s 200 largest cities, Tampa came in near the bottom when it comes to safety with a ranking of 160. St. Petersburg, the only other Bay area community on the list, fared much better, ranking as the country’s 58th “safest driving city.”
Allstate has produced the report each year since 2005. Rankings are based on such factors as average years between accidents, accident likelihood and population.
