TAMPA, FL — ReliaQuest, a private cybersecurity firm founded in Tampa in 1997 and currently based on Harbour Island, announced it will be moving its corporate headquarters to Thousand & One in the Water Street Tampa planned development.

ReliaQuest will be the largest tenant of the high-rise office building, occupying six stories totaling 120,000 square feet of office space, with external signage at the top of the building.

It will be home to the company's current 300 local employees and allow ReliaQuest to expand to 500 employees in the next few years as the company continues to expand its U.S. and global operations, providing cybersecurity services to hundreds of Fortune 1000 companies.

Thousand & One is the distinctive center point of the Water Street neighborhood, a phased development project intended to revitalize the downtown Tampa core with an urban, mixed-use waterfront district consisting of approximately nine million square feet of new commercial, residential, hospitality, cultural, entertainment, educational, and retail uses.

The $3.5 billion urban, mixed-use development by Strategic Property Partners LLC, a company owned and capitalized through a partnership between Cascade Investment LLC and Tampa Bay Jeff Vinik, is located on more than 50 acres in Tampa's waterfront district.

“ReliaQuest is proving that great cybersecurity companies can be untethered from the traditional geographic centers of the industry and being founded in Tampa has allowed us to think differently about security and keep our focus on customer outcomes,” said Greg Ferrell, chief financial officer of ReliaQuest. “We’re investing in this community because we believe in the region’s potential as a new tech center for cybersecurity and the local talent. As we think about the future of work, Thousand & One provides our employees the ideal environment that prioritizes productivity and wellness while supporting our long-term growth.”

Designed by COOKFOX architects, the 20-story tower introduces 375,000 square feet of office space with 12,000 square feet of ground-floor retail.

Encouraging collaboration and community, Thousand & One is also home to a town hall-style gathering space, an open-air conference facility and an employee fitness center.

"Tampa’s technology industry has evolved tremendously over the past few years, and the expansion of ReliaQuest is a continuation of that growth,” said Dave Bevirt, the executive vice president of corporate leasing and strategy at Strategic Property Partners. “ReliaQuest is exactly the type of tenant we had in mind when developing Thousand & One. They are a prime example of a high-growth, international technology company that needed more space, as well as unique amenities to attract new hires, and chose Thousand & One for its high-design offices and recreational programming and spaces. It’s exciting to see an industry and community leader such as ReliaQuest become our anchor tenant.”

The design of the building follows the guidelines of the scientifically backed WELL Building Standard, developed by the International WELL Building Institute, which launched a global movement to transform buildings and communities in ways that help people thrive, increase performance and provide more satisfaction in the work environment.

Thousand & One anticipates receiving its WELL Core and Shell certification by the International WELL Building Institute, which has already designated Water Street Tampa as the first pre-certified WELL neighborhood in the world.

The WELL designation reflects a building or community’s commitment to promote well-being for residents, tenants and visitors through specific evidence-based design and policy strategies.

ReliaQuest, the leader in Open XDR-as-a-Service, combines technology and 24/7/365 security expertise to give organizations what they require to make cybersecurity programs more effective.
