Tampa Bay Workweek Weather: Sunshine, Blue Skies

Rain isn't entirely out of the question as Tampa Bay's workweek continues.

TAMPA, FL — Tampa Bay area residents hoping for sunshine, blue skies and temperatures in the low 80s should like the forecast for most of the week ahead.

According to the National Weather Service, much of this week will bring sunny daytime conditions and highs in the low 80s. Rain doesn't enter the picture until the tail end of the week.

While that streak of sunshine kicks off Monday with a high around 82 degrees anticipated, forecasters do warn small craft operators that conditions on coastal waters might be a little hazardous. Winds on Monday are expected to climb to 20 knots, creating some potential issues for those on the water.

Windy conditions on the water aside, most of the week is expected to be fairly mild. Here’s a rundown of what the weather service anticipates:

Tuesday

  • High temperature – Low- to mid-80s
  • Low temperature – Low 60s
  • Rain chances – Not anticipated

Wednesday

  • High temperature – Low 80s
  • Low temperature – Mid-60s
  • Rain chances – Not expected, but partly cloudy conditions are anticipated

Thursday

  • High temperature – Low 80s
  • Low temperature – Upper 60s
  • Rain chances – Not anticipated, but partly cloudy conditions are

The forecast begins to change Friday with a 30 percent chance of showers forecast. The day’s high is expected to reach the low 80s with an overnight low in the upper 60s expected. Forecasters warn that Friday’s storms may stick around into Saturday.
