Tampa BMX held practices and races held on Sunday March 16. Brian Bigelow the track manager at Tampa BMX stated that the track itself is "Easy for Riders" but yet it is aggressive and technical.
The track distance is in the 1250 ft mark. The track typically runs Friday evening and Sunday afternoon races. Practice is Wednesday at 6 pm. About 80 to 100 riders attend with more recently as riders need riding time to qualify for States. The State Race at Tampa MX was very well attended with 153 motos which is above the number for other tracks. Most other tracks had about 130 motos. There were 900+ riders at the 2020 event at Tampa BMX.
There are 12 state events. There are 16 tracks in Florida and tracks throughout Florida rotate events with most hosting every other year. There are "Nationals" which attract some of the top pros as well as top amateur riders. Nationals have been held previously at Tampa BMX. There will be two Nationals in Florida in 202o.
