For Tampa ComForCare Owner, Demand For Senior Health Care No Mere Trend

Ada Tapper, PhD. brings the highest level of in home senior care with new ComForCare business.

Ada Tapper, PhD. is better suited than most to recognize when an industry shift is indeed a shiftand more sustainable versus a simple trend. That’s because the nursing veteran and owner of ComForCare Home Care of Tampa located at 13902 N Dale Mabry Hwy., Suite 216 in Tampa, has had her finger on the pulse of the American health care industry for 30 years. Now, understanding the health industry and recognizing an undeniable shift in health care needs, Tapper and ComForCare, will bring tailored, needed health care services to Hillsborough, Hardee, Polk, Manatee and Highlands starting this fall.

Tapper has worked as a Nurse Practitioner for over 15 years. She provided patient care and most recently worked as a nursing faculty and assistant professor.

“There was a lot about my career that excited and concerned me,” said Tapper. “But of it all, seeing the growing demographic of those that will most need special care was most compelling and motivated me to pursue a means of providing health care services of my own.”

After exhaustive research and impressed with the management and health care services provided by other ComForCare franchisees, Tapper decided to open her own office. Since that decision, all indicators have
affirmed the growing need for health care services; particularly for the aging Baby Boomers.

Over her 30 years in the health care industry, Tapper, PhD. has recognized that successful organizations are those that maintain a mutually beneficial relationship based on open communication and trust between caregivers, patients, and management. Caregivers must believe that they can relay to management any issue they uncover as it relates to patient care, and likewise patients must feel comfortable raising any concerns they may have about the care they receive. This fosters a better environment that benefits all involved. As the population ages, home healthcare services will allow more seniors to take an active part in their own care as they age at home. The tailored care that will be provided by our staff, will allow our patient to live a quality life in familiar surroundings.”

Services provided by Tapper’s ComForCare location include transportation, meal preparation,
medication reminders, companion services and other in-home care services. Confident that the demand for healthcare will only continue to grow as the country’s population ages, Tapper points to how she runs her business as the defining characteristic that sets her business apart from competitors.

“There is an unprecedented growth in the older population that presents many opportunities for new ideas and changes in our society,” said Tapper. “Baby boomers have initiated, changed and defined a trend for new directions in this country. They need help transitioning to another phase in their lives while maintaining their independence and quality of life. This still evolving trend provides new prospects for healthcare workers and businesses that understand such opportunities.
