Tampa Father, Daughter Die In Head-On Crash With Truck In VA: Reports
A father and his 17-year-old daughter were killed in a head-on crash with a box truck in Virginia Tuesday evening, reports said.
VIRGINIA — A father and daughter in Tampa were killed Tuesday evening in a head-on crash with a Freightliner box truck in Nelsonia, Virginia, according to multiple reports.
Augusto Santos Aguilar, 69, was driving a car north on Route 13 before crossing over into the southbound lane's oncoming traffic, hitting the truck head-on, according to Shore Daily News.
Investigators aren’t sure why he crossed over into the other lane.

His daughter, Allyssa Marie Aguilar, 17, died on impact, the Eastern Shore Post reported.
His wife and Allyssa’s mother, Maria Jennifer Aguilar, was in the front passenger seat at the time of the crash. She was brought to a Salisbury, Maryland, hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, reports said.

The truck’s driver, a 63-year-old Virginia man, Ervin Jose Mizriky, was also brought to a local hospital for treatment and was in stable condition.
The crash shut down both lanes of traffic Tuesday and a crash reconstruction team was called in to investigate, WBOC reported.
