Tampa House Fire Quickly Controlled By Hillsborough Firefighters

TAMPA, FL — It took Hillsborough County Fire Rescue just over 10 minutes to control a house fire at 5204 S 80th St., Tampa, Tuesday afternoon.

The emergency dispatch center received a call at 4:37 p.m. from a caller reporting smoke and flames coming from the home. Hillsborough County Fire Rescue Engine 1 was the first on the scene and confirmed that the home was engulfed in smoke and flames.

Additional crews were called to supply water from a nearby fire hydrant to battle the flames from the home's interior.

There was no one inside the home when the fire broke out. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
