Tampa Man Charged in Father's Murder

The incident happened Thursday afternoon.

A 38-year-old Tampa man faces second-degree murder charges in the death of his father.

According to the Tampa Police Department, the agency received a 911 call around 2:44 p.m. Thursday from a man who said he had just killed someone at 5603 32nd St. N. When officers arrived, they found a man with upper body trauma, but a faint pulse. The man, later identified as Gregory James Walker, 60, was taken to Tampa General Hospital where he later died.

Walker’s son, Gregory Moran, has been charged in the crime, which has been described as domestic-related.

Moran was being held without bond in the Hillsborough County Jail as of Friday morning.
