Tampa Man In Wheelchair Killed Crossing Dale Mabry Highway

TAMPA, FL — A 66-year-old man in a wheelchair was killed Tuesday while crossing Dale Mabry Highway.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, at 6:59 a.m., Armando Gonzales of Tampa was crossing the eastbound lanes of Dale Mabry Highway near the intersection of West Waters Avenue when he entered the path of a Toyota Prius driven by Susanne T Staklinski, 64, of Lutz,

The Prius, which had a green light at the time, struck Gonzales.

Gonzales was taken to St. Joseph's Hospital where he died.
