Tampa Mayor Welcomes Kansas City, Chiefs Fans At Tampa Airport
Thursday morning at Tampa International Airport, Tampa Mayor Jane Castor welcomed Kansas City Mayor Quinton Lucas.
TAMPA, FL — Thursday morning at Tampa International Airport, Tampa Mayor Jane Castor, surrounding by buccaneers from Ye Mytic Krewe of Gasparilla, welcomed Kansas City Mayor Quinton Lucas and a plane filled with Kansas City fans with some Tampa swag - and a box of tissues for when the Chiefs lose.
Lucas accepted a box of Tampa-made cigars while presenting Castor with a box of Kansas City's famous barbecue sauce and rub along with Kansas City craft beer.
Other gifts from Castor included merchandise from the Columbia restaurant, Tampa craft beer, oranges and sangria.

"This is going to be the greatest Super Bowl in history, no doubt," said Castor. "You've got the two best teams in the NFL going against each other, so it is going to be exciting for all of us."
"I'm so excited to be in Tampa," said Lucas." This is my first time in Tampa, and I'm looking forward to telling the story of Tampa when I get back to Kansas City."
